Recently, a proposal about changing the language used in the TV program from Cantonese to Mandarin has met with fierce discussion. The official says this will pure the Chinese language and make people easy to understand the TV program, the people who speak Cantonese are objecting to such a proposal. In my opinion, Cantonese should not be changed.
最近，有人提议将讲粤语的电视节目换成讲普通话的节目，这引起了很大的争议。官方解释这样能让汉语更加的纯净，也能让人们都听得懂电视节目，讲粤语的人反对这样的提议。在我看来，粤语不应该被换掉。
First, Cantonese is one of the Chinese dialects. Our country has various minorities, and most of them share different languages, which forms different cultures, the different cultures are part of our country’s culture. Cantonese is one of the dialects, and today still a lot of people speak it, such as people in Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Second, people can choose the TV program, if they don’t understand Cantonese, they can watch the subtitle, or they can watch the TV program using Chinese. There is no need to satisfy some people while taking the cost of scarifying other people’s rights.
第一，粤语是中国的一种方言。我们的国家有很多民族，大部分民族使用不同的语言，这也形成了不同的文化，这些文化都是国家的文化。粤语是其中的一种方言，今天仍然有很多人使用，比如广州和香港。第二，人们可以选择电视节目，如果他们听不懂粤语，他们可以看字幕，或者他们可以观看讲汉语的节目。没有必要为了满足一分部人而去牺牲另一部分人的权利。
Cantonese should not be changed into Mandarin, it is part of Chinese culture, and it deserves to remain. There are many TV programs that use Chinese, so just leave a small room for Cantonese.
粤语不应该被改成普通话，粤语是中国文化的一部分，应该值得被保留下来。很多电视节目是使用普通话的，因此给粤语留下一点空间吧。
